Human Bodies @ Eureka Vets Hall

The vicious demons in Human Bodies we’re kind enough to grace the forests of our northern abode and provide a demonstration in downbeat carnage in the form of their black metal laden punk and violence. Last month we witnessed these beasts straight from the thriving Boston hardcore scene shred the Eureka Veterans Hall (who have continuously showered us with great concerts and an epic space to get rowdy within). With support from local Hardcore-punk local veterans Komatose, the ritual convulsions of Ghoulhand and the psych-doom of Ultramafic.

Fresh off the release of their crushing new EP “No Life”, Human Bodies emulate the nihilistic, terror summoning of their sound through their live shows, clad in leather masks hiding their faces and adorned with enough spikes and metal to make a medieval blacksmith jealous. Their mid-paced, simplistic yet groovy song writing and endless headbanging made for a night for swirling pits, chaos chants and glorious fun void of light. Many thanks to Dead Tree promotions for continuously bringing quality bands to our dark neck of the northern woods.

For a taste of the show, here’s a full set, recorded in Brooklyn on the first night of their tour:

Be sure to check out their new split EP with Leather Chalice!

Also check our Lost Coast Avenger calendar for upcoming metal shows from Dead Tree.
